Diana Hanitzsch is a German born multidisciplinary artist based in Vancouver, BC on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. She holds a BFA (2019) in painting and sculpture from Emily Carr University and has exhibited in Canada, Germany and the Czech Republic. Her practice is concerned with tracing psychological processes and relationships focusing on power dynamics, perception and weight. Apart from self-exploration in different environments, she witnesses shapes and forms in everyday spaces and the gallery and circles around the mediums of sculpture, installation, drawing, painting and 3D animation.
